So as it turns out a loose instrument nut decided to drop down and bounce around between the power and ground terminals on the key start. It was hiding pretty well. I had my head back there for 10 minutes till I finally saw something wrong. The mode of failure just was not making any sense.

My regulator CB has decided it wants to trip. Worked fine at start up. Then as I increased RPM the regulator CB popped. Will not reset. Aft shut down, as soon as the battery is turned on the CB pops. Any ideas where to start?
