We are very happy with the performance of the IVP. We are experiencing 800-1000 foot per minute on climb at the prescribed airspeeds. We were holding 31 inches at got 270 knots, as promised. On a recent flight from SoCal to Georgia, with great winds, we were showing 369 knots! Can't complain too much! ATC asked us what we were. Told him a Lancair. He says "Oh, Lancair." A pause. "Is that a jet?" Told him no. He says, "Then it's a twin." No, a single. "Are you sure?" was his question. Makes the 7 year wait to finish it ALMOST bearable! All other performance numbers have been met or exceeded in terms of climb and cruise, so no kicking from this couple!
A good funny for those interested -- On recent trip from Wisconsin to Colorado, ATC informed a Midwest flight they had traffic at 10'oclock. "It's a . . . it's a . . . it's a plane." Then "8PB, what are you?" "Why, I'm a . . . I'm a . . . plane." It was hilarious! Pat and Sue Brunner 98PB
