Bulging?" We moved the upper ball stud approximately 1" to allow clearance with the cover for the pump and the door frame. We filled the hole and applied 2 bid of carbon on each side prior to redrilling the hole. This also aligned the stud up so that it is at more of a right angle to the long axis of the strut. It operates great after some minor adjustments in the tension of the chain to the lower latches. The operation works great. We don't have any bulging.
