The right tire rubs the tunnel and the left tire is close to the wheel well upper cutout in the fuselage. Does anyone have a similar problem and solution? I e-mailed Mark at the factory and asked if there is any way to adjust the gear to more center the gears when up knowing those holes in the gear box are drilled and set "in granite" so to speak. On a related subject I have purchased the stock of Cessna axle shims from Stratman Aero Services where I worked last year. I shimmed the axles of a Cardinal to reduce tire wear and hit it right on, I'm told. Shimming the axles may cause problems with tire location in the gear door cutouts as well as in the well. (News from earlier this week on the list.) I would sure like to hear about tire wear others have experienced and what shims were required to correct the condition. I hope to do an advance shim job and reduce my exposure and frustration with this item. All comments from those with experience on the IV-P with tire wear and shim tales are elicited. Hopefully, we can put together a data base for others to use in future construction.
