Why all the talk about AOA? Can you comment please, as I am researching
the purchase of a IV-P fastbuild.  Thanks,<

I think we have beat the AOA discussion to death. The Lancair family of
aircraft are high performance, well designed, sport aircraft.  All the
comments about AOA apply to all aircraft not just the Lancair.  I have a
Lancair 360.  I also own and have owned a number of different production
certified aircraft.  My Lancair is better engineered, flies faster and
higher, is less expensive to operate and maintain, and is more fun to fly.
It is a stable IFR platform as well. The building process was enjoyable and
educational.  You will find that the family of Lancair builders are highly motivated,
very successful in their own right, and  opinionated too. This forum is an
opportunity for Lancair builders and flyers to discuss problems, solutions
and ideas. Safety issues (AOA) are always at the top of the list.  The
discussions are honest and open so you should not read into them any more
than what is said.  You are wise to consider the Lancair.  Since you are researching the IV,
perhaps you should arrange a ride in one by contacting Lancair at (541)
923-2244. You will be very impressed with its flying qualities.  There may
even be a IV in your location.
