If you're interested, The patent on the Lift Reserve unit is 4559822 and makes some interesting reading. It is available for free from the USPO at: http://164.195.100.11/netahtml/srchnum.htm or from the IBM site at: http://www.patents.ibm.com/patquery.html The IBM site works great with your web browser, but to get images to print properly, you have to save the images, then open and print them with a program like Lview. On the other hand, the USPO site requires you to get the special TIFF viewer browser helper app (per instructions elsewhere on their site) and install it in the browser (and in my case disabling Quicktime's attempt to keep re-installing itself over this app. But once installed, the image resolution is better and you can print direct from the browser (Netscape in my case.) Furthermore, many years ago, probably 15 or more, Sport Aviation had an article on AOA and making your own using an airspeed (differential air pressure) instrument for the readout. I had the idea in the back of my mind to use a Dwyer Instruments gauge. They have many low pressure, compact gauges. I have that article stashed somewhere -- I just don't know where. (The problem with being a pack rat, you always have it, you just don't know where it is!) Charles R.
