I have iPad 3G about 2 years old. 32GB with room to spare. Uses fltplan.com with all charts and no problems. ATT monthly $15 plan works to about 4000 AGL almost everywhere in the US. GPS internally works fine for me. Refurbished units from Apple available for a discount with 1 year warranty, saves about $150. Enjoy.

I recently subscribed to Flight Guide IFR (but have't been able to use it yet).

WiFi is standard, does 3g or 4g work in the air? Already have a 3g receiver gaget from Verizon (for my home apple computer).

What's the story on gps connection?
