Diamond Aircraft has fiberglass oil cooler diffusers (they call them "plenums") that they use on their Katanas.  They looked pretty nice at Oshkosh, where I saw one installed on the Continental engine with FADEC installed.  I didn't get to see it on the Katana because they had the cowling on.  It has a round inlet for SCAT tubing, making a 90 degree bend and transitioning to a rectangular outlet which attaches to the cooler.  It looked like a lightweight part painted with speckly black paint, like Zolatone.  Not a prize-winning showplane part, but perfectly serviceable.

Their family of aircraft uses two different oil coolers, the Stewart Warner 10568 (Positech's equivalent is #4212) and the Stewart Warner 10599 (Positech's equivalent is #4215).  The Lancair 320/360 uses the latter (10599 / 4215).

The Diamond part number for the plenum for the 10599 / 4215 cooler is 22-7923-10-00.  The price is $168.92.  You can order it through Diamond at (519) 457-4041.  Push "2" to get the parts department.  There is presently a three-week backlog.

At that price, I'll probably make my own....unless Lancair can cut us a nice deal....
