Here=E2=80=99s another  little irritating event in what seems t= o be a pattern.

Got re-registration notice for my IVP in late De= cember or early January.  Sent check for $5.00 plus the form on January= 14th (made a copy and dated it for the day sent).  Thought n= o more about it until late May when a notice came from FAA =E2=80=93 Fina= l notice: Expiration of aircraft registration.  It was dated May 1.=   Checked my bank records to find that the FAA had cashed my $5.00 chec= k electronically.  I asked my bank for photo copy  of the check an= d they can=E2=80=99t produce due to electronic transfer.

I called FAA t= wice.  Do you think I might have spent a bit of wasted time on the phon= e waiting???  First person was totally unhelpful.  Basically she c= ould have said =E2=80=9Cscrew you=E2=80=9D and it wouldn=E2=80=99t have been= less helpful or pleasant.  Second person tried to help.  Said to s= end in whatever I had in the way of proof.  I did so (the bank statemen= t showing the electronic transfer to the FAA of $5) along with another copy o= f the form and on June 18 they sent me a letter indicating they=E2=80=99d re= ceived a registration form with no payment and they found no record of havin= g received a payment so I had until July 1 to make the payment.

Sent th= e attached with another $5 check.  Sent it registered mail confirmation= etc etc.  That cost another $12.

Anybody else have them lose stuf= f and lay it all back on you?
