Hi Bernie,

I own Legacy #299 and originally planned on Cheltons (1996).  The company stopped offering their sport avionics a couple of years later and I went with Garmin 900 + TruTrak Sorceror.  For hard IFR this is a phenomenal package but I don't know how many are out there, and beware of leg clearance if you find one; the big screens require a big panel that limits leg room.

Separate notes:
-- IO550s with Iskra starters are prone to starter failure.  If you buy one, you could wind up with an engine pull to replace the starter and adapter.
-- I believe some early Legacies had actuators for the inboard gear doors that were inadequate; this was fixed before my kit (#299).  The gear doors should stay firmly retracted under all conditions.
-- This January, Lancair issued SB074-0111 to replace main gear overcenter links and modify the main gear hydraulic actuators to eliminate cracking that could lead to the gear being unable to retract.  My airplane was one of many that actually exhibited the problem.  Charley Brown
