Aeroflight is at the south east end of the field and the folks there are very accommodating. Call ahead and reserve the courtesy car. It's a beater Caddy but will get you there. They also have a large passenger van they'll let you use if the Caddy is out. At Portland go to Troutdale - the FBO is Gorge Winds and they are pretty good folks too. I assume you use 100LL? Gas is expensive in Washington. Six bucks and up - way up in many places. There are several places in Oregon to get a break on fuel. $5.20 or $5.15 at Prineville near Redmond. Scappoose just West of PDX has the same price but they do not have self serve so be sure they are on duty at the time you want gas. They open at 8:00 AM and go till early evening sometime - I think 6 or 7 but you would do well to phone ahead if you're thinking about dropping in late in the day. Good luck with your college search.
