Last summer I had a couple hot start disasters and I asked the same question on the list. You should find a lot in the archive.
At that time I made a little summary to take in the plane and try. Option 5 turned out to be my favorite and has worked out really good for me.
Option 5 (works best for my engine)
· Mixture cut off, throttle closed, high boost for 30 sec.
· Fuel pump on low boost
· Throttle normal idle, mixture cut off
· Start cranking with on hand while VERY SLOWLY richening the mixture with other hand
· Engine starts at ideal mixture for existing conditions – stop cranking
· Continue richening as idle speed increases to normal idle speed – not richer until you are ready to increase throttle
