I know that the Naval aviation has been using AOA's for many years and the Air Force finally came along with this great safety instrument a little later (we had longer runways).  As a retired AF guy I became exposed to this wonderful system when I was an SR-71 pilot many years ago where flying on the edge was a daily occurrence.  It was/is a life saver.  I strongly endorse Jim Frantz's product and would recommend it to everyone as one of the most effective safety installations they can make to their birds.  Pat Halloran
