I will soon be constructing the canopy for my L360 and am wondering what sort of latching mechanism I will need. I have the original latches which came with the kit, but have noticed other Lancairs with latches which are operable from both inside and outside the aircraft. It seems to me that from a safety point of view, having access from outside in the event of an accident could be very handy. I am aware of the kit which is available with the central operating handle and torque tube, but it looks rather complex and probably relatively heavy. I am interested in comments from those of you who have completed your aircraft, about what latches you installed, and what you like or dislike about them. Thanks again for your comments.
