When that time comes I will certainly be changing them to the SS sheath type. I have the mandrels and have made = them myself in the past but if the cost isn=92t outrageous I=92ll probably = have them made to save time and hassle. I am, however, adding the gauges in the system under the right seat but this is strictly for ground-based = trouble shooting. I won=92t be able to see them in flight but up there it = really doesn=92t matter what the pressure is doing. Either the gear goes up & = down or it doesn=92t. You can=92t fix it in flight. Additionally, the origional hoses were all deteriorating and one actually weeped right out of the middle of one = hose in the nose wheel well (it looked like it came out of a joint, but no.). Replaced all 14 with teflon/ss outer hosed from Flowline (custom made = and very economical). For good measure added up and down gages as I posted recently. =20 As Chris Z said, gages in the cockpit explain a lot in real time.
