I found a set of Ong's main strut dampers for the Legacy on my shelf (came with the plane from the builder) and was studying the literature dated 2004.  I am getting ready to service the struts.   The latest threads suggest motorcycle fork oil SAE30 weight for the struts.  Ong's instructions (after replacing the pucks) say MIL5606 which I would prefer but have not seen discussed.  My Legacy is 2004 vintage 560 hours.   Has anyone gone to 5606 for the struts or are there reasons not to?
