Haven't posted for some time but figured I'd weigh in on this thread.

I'm still flying my early LNC-2 (235, first flight in '93) and have over 1100 hours on it (Should have a lot more but there was a lot of down time over the years - not airplane related). I have the early aluminum elevator lever (horn?) and the bob-weight. I found the pitch response adequate but thought the amount of stick displacement for various flight regimes, particularly landing, was excessive. Some time after (or maybe during - hard to remember) the test flight phase, I followed the recommendations of the factory to move the push-rod attach up one inch from what was called out in the build manual. That gave me what I wanted for stick displacement but hardly noticed a change in pitch responsiveness ("sensitivity"?) - most likely due to the bob-weight.

As far as I'm concerned, the airplane is a joy to fly though it took a while to become attuned to stick forces required to fly smoothly - particularly when moving from a C-182 or similar spam-can. It did take a bit of trial and error to get the bob-weight adjusted to my liking but haven't changed a thing since then as I really like the "finger-tip" control. Add to that the fact that the only other person to fly the airplane besides myself is an ex-carrier pilot friend (who incidentally flies a Falco) thinks the airplane handles "very nice".

Incidentally, my LNC-2's roll-rate will take your hat off if you put the stick hard over but for normal cruising it just requires finger pressure - so what's not to like? Admittedly, pitch sensitivity is somewhat higher than roll but it's quite easy to get used to it.

I wouldn't change a thing!
