Angier,
My Plasma III display shows a lower rpm than my engine instrumentation and
that instrumentation matched an external calibration. The III
MAP also reads lower than my other gauge. Who knows about the timing
as the two ignition's display differ by about .5 degree.
The III displays work on millivolts - you should not see an rpm
indication. Check grounds.

Call Klaus. It should be interesting.

I have

With engine off(actually, it hasn't been on
yet...:-) ..), the Simpson LCD display shows RPM fluctuating between 11
and 13RPM.
Is this normal/typical?
Also, MP reads .20 lower than
MVP-50 MP reading. Nothing over which to lose sleep, but...splitting hairs is
such good fun.
