  Another idea is to place a washer on each of the top two motor mounts. Fit the cowling to match the spinner. As the lower mounts compress you then remove the top washers and you should be properly aligned both before and after settlement. Measure distance to spinner bottom and floor with and without washers before you commit to this action to determine the rise with washer removed.  This will give you the target measurement do compare to the anticipated settlement drop.

 

This action will have you flying for the most part with an aligned spinner.
