I spoke to the GOO manufacturer on the west coast and they asked me what adhesive I was trying to remove.
When I said 3M Scotch Blue painter's tape, they said no problem so I coughed up $5 at Home Depot and came back to the shop with high hope and great excitement...Bottom line, GOO had no effect.
Just found this at the Vans Aircraft website so I'll look into their suggestions.
