Dan,

You scared me. I did all my work from the top side and never looked to see
what the leading edge of the Flaps were doing. Fortunately mine are tucked
in smooth and straight. I may have to shuffle things around in the garage
and put both wings on to get a better look at the whole system in order to
figure this out.

I am not sure if you checked, but my flaps were way off from the
factory.  Kit #286.  Check to make sure both the inboard and out board
edges line up the same and the leading edge doesn't hang down from the
trailing edge/cove of the wing.  I need to change the symmetry to get
it all to work.  This maybe why one flap is going farther than the
other.   I do thin 1-2 degrees will make some difference in flight
characteristics, stall  to one side  sl more drag on the down side.  I
have no data to support this though.

I'm building in my garage so I usually work one side of the plane then the
other. So far that has worked well. However, I installed my left Flap and
adjusted the control rod to produce a 0-40 degree movement. I hooked it to
the Flap actuator to produce these limits and everything was perfect.

Now I have attached the right Flap and adjusted the control rod to align
with the aileron Unfortunately the Flap actuator produces a 41.8 degree
movement. I can't see how to change this without customizing the Flap
installation in some way.

So, how much difference will 1.8 degree difference make in flight
characteristics at full deployment. Has anyone experienced this and what
did
you do?
