Was just assembling 235 the control stick/crossover weldment assembly (before boring holes in cockpit closeout rib for aileron pushrod holes) and compared my crossover weldment to figure 249.5 (on page 258.5) and noted this difference.

When sighting down the edge of the weldment if I put the tabs for the elevator pushrod attach straight up (which is the way I bellieve it goes so you have max fore/aft movement) the stick leans back 40 degrees from the vertical (against my belly - if I had seats yet).  The figure looks like both the control sticks and the elevator pushrod attach tabs should be straight up (vertical).

Can any other 235 drivers - or Vern if you're listening - peek at (or remember) if there is 40 degrees (when sighting down the control weldment edge) between the stick and the elevator tabs or are they both in the same plane?

Thanks.
