I noticed some obvious enhancements in the latest version of Foreflight that you may wish to explore.

In addition to the VFR Sectional, Low IFR and High IFR maps, they have added World Map and Street Map.

On top of those maps, you can now overlay Radar, Satellite, TRFs, and or AIR/SIGMETS.

If you "touch" an AIRMET block on the map, you get a pop-up text description that describes the specifics. Cheers,
