Hi Dennis,

I soldered mine and then used heat shrink over the pins and wire for strain relief. Heat is not a problem but do use a low wattage iron. Tie the wires with zip ties near the switch and up the fork to prevent fatigue.

Be ready for lots of other opinions on this.

Subject: connections for nose gear limit switch

I am at the point of wiring up the nose gear limit switch on my IV and was looking at options for those tiny posts.  Definitely too small for a crimp on.  A female molex is too big.   The female D-sub pins I have seem too small.     Did a search in the archives and did not find anything.   So what did folks do to connect to that itty bitty limit switch.  Did you simply solder it?  If so, did the heat damage the limit switch?
