When fling to Canada some years ago I had been told that proof of insurance noting that it is valid in Canada is required.  When I presented the document with the others the customs agent was mildly surprised, saying that not one in 50 pilots from the US carried the document.  I do not know if is still officially required.

airplane radio license
pilot radio license
eapis registration
eapis flight plan.

....way less stressful if you start early.

then you need charts.   foreflight has a $120 add-on for that.
