I can tell you [being based in Canada] that there will be limited differences
between your experiances in the US and Canada. One thing I will tell you
is that 'pop-up' IFR is generally not accepted in Canada. File before you leave
the ground and you'll be fine. If your going VFR then your good either
way. Talk to enroute ATC before crossing the border [VFR too] and get a squak
code [crossing from either direction].
