Gents:
I read with interest a review on the WingX Pro in the October issue of Flying Magazing, p. 18.
The latest from WingX, in addition to nav/charting/planning/approach plates, etc. is offering a split screen that offers synthetic vision.
"The company supports the use of an add-on attitude and heading reference system, the $750 Levil Technology unit is very clever and uncertified. The mini AHRS communicates wirelessly through the iPad with WingX's synthetic vision display....."
I'm a died in the wool, dedicated fan of Foreflight, and have used Foreflight religiously and with good result since the start.
But I find iPad synthetic vision with an add on AHRS pretty appealing. I'm going to have to look at WingX.
As I think about it, I may need a backup iPad or two in case one goes bad;)

Thanks to all who responded with info on IPAD apps. I decided to give the 30 day free trials a go starting with WINGS X. Hope to learn as I go.
