We are looking forward to welcoming all of you to the 7th Annual Napa HPAT Lancair Fly In and Ground School October 14-16. We have a great weekend planned, but need any of you who plan on staying at the Marriott Courtyard in Vacaville to book immediately! The rate we negotiated with them goes away if you have not booked by September 29. Currently you can reserve a room for $89 single/double and get a buffet breakfast included. If you need to cancel, you have until 6 pm day of arrival to do so.  HOWEVER, if you do not book the room before the 29th of September, you cannot get the special deal...please call and reserve your room now. The hotel number is 707-451-9000 and the code for the rate is LHPS/SMERF.

As far as social events go, we have a wonderful Basque dinner arriving from Yakima, WA with Tomas and Debbie Holbrook on Friday night. They will be bringing a traditional four course dinner, soup, salad, pork and red peppers as well as a pintxo (tapa) and dessert. Beer, Spanish wine, and soft drinks will be on hand to accompany it. Dinner will be served at the airport, outdoors, around 6 p.m. Friday.

Saturday after the ground school will be an optional produce and wine tour in the Suisun Valley, close to both the Vacaville airport and the Gainza home, where dinner will begin with a wine and cheese tasting at 6:30 pm. Dinner will feature a hearty beef roast, provided by Ranch Foods Direct (Mike Callicrate), with the side dishes featuring the bounty of local produce from the Suisun Valley and wines from Napa and beyond!

Please be sure to sign up for the ground school and flight training with Glenda McKinney. As always, social attendees who are not doing training are welcome to join us for the weekend, the cost for the two dinners, and wine/cheese tasting is $95 per person.
