| Jon: I forwarded pictures of these failures to an associate with decades of welding experience in the NASCAR arena, his comments from photos:
What I see is a bad weld, not much penetration. I would also suggest putting a small gusset between the two halves to keep the mount from flexing and causing it to tear loose. With this done it should hold up well. Should do other side the same.
