Thanks Bobby.  I think I am going to bypass the factory this time.  I don't have much faith.  I am going to have a certified aerospace welder do the repair.

> I had the same failure during the building process. I called Lancair and they said there had been some struts with defective welds. They fixed the problem at no cost to me but it did take a month to get the struts back. On preflight I check the welds.
