Hello Dean,

I'm building LEG #201 and the pump is behind the rear bulkhead. I'm 6'3" so
doing anything back there is a pain. Hopefully the pump will require little
maintenance. Just test it to make sure there are no leaks prior to bonding
the baggage tunnel. I built-in a StarFlight Air Conditioning Condenser
behind the co-pilot's seat and a Step behind the pilots seat so there really
wasn't any other place for the pump to go. I will put the Primary Battery
behind the pilot's seat and the Aux Battery on the Avionics Shelf. One nice
thing about the StarFlight AC is that they offer a cover that hides
everything behind the seats. Living it Austin Texas, not having an air conditioner wasn't an option.

Subject: [LML] Legacy Hydraulic Pump Location

I am trying to decide where to put the gear hydraulic pump in a  Legacy. The original manual called for it to go behind the aft baggage  bulkhead but later manual revisions moved it to behind the copilot  seat.  The 2 big things I have been thinking about are CG and  serviceability.  Can anyone tell me what they did and how it is  working out?  Is your CG good?  Is checking/adding fluid or servicing  the pump a pain if it is aft of the bulkhead?  I have also been  thinking about if I ever had to disconnect the lines running across  the baggage floor under the closeout that this would be a real pain  because of the closeout.  It seems that having the pump behind the  seat makes it much more serviceable.  If you did this, where would the  batteries need to be located?  Any thoughts at all on the subject  would be much appreciated!
