Hello Neal:

The Specifications section of the ELT manual list a VSWR of <1.5:1 at 121.5 MHz
and <1.4:1 at 243 MHz. I don't have the TSO handy, sorry.

Do the instructions state what the VSWR requirements are?

I made a coper foil tape antenna with ferrite beads etc. and trimmed it with
Knuckolls' VSWR. I don't recall exactly what I got, but I do remember it was
the best antenna in the airplane. Probably because the coax was only about
12" long and I tuned it to 121.5
