I also have the adjustable pot for pit= ch trim. It does absolutely nothing. When I called Lancair to complain, they= suggested it would make a difference under air loads. Really? How do I test= that? The fact is that it just doesn't work. Never has. Is it wired incorre= ctly? Don't know. Still, the airplane is quite flyable as is. I, too, merely "bump" the trim s= witch when in cruise. It's darn sensitive, but you get used to it. At patter= n speeds, it's not a problem. Could I get it switched off in a timely manner in the case of a runaway? Goo= d question. Ron Jones www.legacy-innovations.com=20 ron@legacy-innovations.com Sent from Ron's iPad . . . That sounds about right and Ed Martin's Legacy here i= s working the right way. Mine and others at 6 seconds means that you have ab= out 3 seconds from level flight to full deflection in a runaway. That's not= enough to activate the safety cutout or manually find a disconnect. On a n= ight approach or close to the ground that just isn't going to be detectable b= efore things go wrong. So, I'm still looking for the right wiring, I had my= panel wired by Lancair Avionics but the box that controls the trim has no l= abel and the pot that is supposed to control speed only stops the pitch trim= so it isn't working properly. We'll get it right but 6 seconds isn't safe i= mo. >=20 > Paul > Legacy 186 > Spruce Creek > -- > For archives and unsub http://mail.lancaironline.net:81/lists/lml/List.htm= l
