I changed a Desser 62mph, 2 groove tire yesterday. The tire was changed because of a pinhole leak in the tube in the middle of the sidewall. The last 20 hours on this tire were at 70 psi. The tube was the older style. The 2 groove tire came off of the rim easier than any of the prior tires.

This tire lasted for 1.5 years, and 68 landings. Not very long. The tire would have lasted longer if the tube had lasted.

My new tire is a Desser 100(?)mph, 2 groove, made in Vietnam tire. The new tube is the first tube that fit inside of the tire (like it should) and did not require the center plastic anti-pinch strip from Lancair. Lets hope this new tube lasts as long as the tire. The tire also fit on the rims better than any tire in the past.

I will continue to report on tire usage in the future.
