I was fascinated by your piece in the latest LNN about the problems that you
have had with the gear refusing to respond to commands, albeit
intermittently.
.
.
.
Twice(out of about 15 times), I have flown from Michigan to Georgia at altitudes of about 11,000 ft(cold) and had the gear not extend on downwind(hot). The emergency extension worked.
The second time it happened, I forgot to pull the circuit breaker and had left the gear handle in the up position. The motor started immediately on putting the gear dump valve down. I put the gear dump valve back up. The gear went up. When I put the gear handle down, the gear went down.
This last happened 30 landing ago. I have not been able to repeat the problem.
