After talking with Matt at MGL, = he strongly recommended to add a ground plane which I did using a paint = on metal. The gps is working better on the ground but has not been = tested in the air. He also suggested keeping the antennas at least 6" = apart. Art, I had two in the wing tip but too close to the fuel vent and just moved them closer to the leading edge.
