If your spar attach bolts are too long I have what seems to me a better solution.

Since you are bolting composite materials together why not cut two aluminum spacers of the required thickness to make the bolts fit and make the spacers larger than the bolt by 4 or 5 diameters to spread the compressive load more evenly over the composite material.
I agree with Rob.  Friction will help but he bolts MUST be designed to carry the entire shear loads.
