We had no problem with glideslope reception with the King radio, but could only receive the GS within 5 NM after we installed the Garmin. We ended up installing an external antennae in the tail, one that is used on a Bonanza. We can now pick up the GS about 20 NM out. Our Bob Archer Antennae was installed in our winglet. It may be different (better) if you are using wingtips. It appears to me that you can make the Bob Archer wingtip antennas work in a IV IFF you follow the directions. I would just like to hear from anyone that has made the Bob Archer antennas work in a IV wingtip. If so, did it also work for GS? thanks, Colyn
