One option is to send it to chelton. Turns out you have to work with either a Chelton or STec dealer to get RMA. What they call a mnior repair is flat rate price of $1163. Seems pricey, but considering how much already is invested in the system, probably cheaper than converting to garmin. I just checked with them for a similar issue. They will drop ship direct to or from you, with the dealer written permission. Number is 800 872-7832
