You would have to get the exact problem from Lancair, but the vertical stabs
had a twist in the mold, and wasn't a real big deal to get it straight when
you were building it, as long as you were careful. At least from what I
understand. I was told by the folks in the Avionics division of Lancair
that the instrument panels were delaminating, and they had to go with a
different vendor, so that's why they were on backorder. I was told by Vern
today, that that info was incorrect. I was in Redmond, and got this info in
person, so what's the correct info? Avionics used to handle the panels, but
Kit Components now handle them.
Ron, what are the problems you are referring to? I haven't installed my
vertical stabilizer or my panel yet, both from early ES kits, and you've
got me concerned. I'd appreciate it if you or others could elaborate on
the problems you reference. Thanks.
