They finally came to the conclusion that the batteries were indeed dead but for no apparent good reason. Odyssey then offered to send me a replacement set at no charge. All I need to do is fill out their warranty claim and send them back the plastic top from each battery to prove they are out of service. I will spend time on the plane's wiring to sleuth out the cause for the failure. A very reasonable handling of the situation by EnerSys and a good reason to plan on Odyssey batteries in the future. =20 Robert M.
