Yes, Air Venture is a great place to buy avionics. Do your pricing
research ahead of time and you will find some deals that can be had ONLY at Air
Venture. And not just for avionics. There are a lot of “show”
specials – seatbelts, custom airplane covers, etc.

Subject: [LML] Re: Legacy Glass Panel Suggestions?
Posted
for "Stan Fields" <sdfields@austin.rr.com>:
I'm trying to finalize my panel and would appreciate any comments, advise
or
suggestions. So far this panel costs $35K in components. I am an
electrical
engineer and worked for 8 years at Cessna as an instrumentation engineer
so
I plan to wire the panel myself. All I have now are the Garmin
components. I
want to eliminate "steam gages" but want equivalent electronic
redundancy.
Is AirVenture a good place to buy avionics?
The selections I've made are as follows.
Two 8" GRT Horizon HX EFIS with Dual AHRS, RAIM GPS, XM Weather and
EIS 4000
6" Horizon HX EFIS/MFD
Garmin GNS 430W NAV/COM/ GPS
Garmin SL40 COM
PS9000EX Audio Panel
Trigg 21 Transponder
TruTrac Digiflight II VSGI Autopilot
FlightLine/StarFlight A/C
ACK E01 ELT
Vertical Power XM Solid State Breaker System

Stan Fields
