Michael,
All the spherical bearings supplied in the kit originally are standard bearings available through any bearing outfit like Motion Industries.  I would suggest going to higher grade bearings anytime a replacement is needed.  I have done this on the elevators and in various landing gear bearings once play developed.  Higher grade bearings will bump up the strength immensely.  For example, compare the Aurora MM series rod end bearings to the AM series.  You'll get about 2.5 times the strength simply due to better materials.  For spherical bearings compare the COM series, as originally supplied, to the Aurora AIB series.  Here again, strength is more than double.

My annual is coming up- Charlie Kohler pointed out I have slight play in my elevator bearings.  Can these be bought locally or do I need to get them through Lancair?

Thanks
