Addendum:
The lights are plenty bright, but tend to direct the light parallel with the wing tips (duh). I also have installed a LED light on the nose gear. Seems to work great, has a very low profile, and has the safety advantage that if one LED burns out, the rest stay on. HOWEVER, the LED option is plenty pricy!
