I stayed overnight just north of Atlanta and departed at = 0400 EST to make Lakeland at 0700 EST. It was beautiful flying over = Atlanta at that time in the morning. At both Oshkosh and Lakeland, these = have been my best arrivals. Around 1000 EST till noon is the worst time = to arrive. The airports are closed in the afternoon for the air show. Also don't forget that the airport is closed, during the air show, = during the night. I think that it closes at about 2000 EST. I couldn't = leave one evening when I wanted to. Read up on the show at: http://www.sun-n-fun.org/ or http://www.sun-n-fun.org/FlyIn.aspx Lorn On Mar 14, 2010, at 6:01 AM, Lancair Mailing List wrote: > From: "Jay Phillips" > Date: March 13, 2010 7:42:43 PM EST >=20 > I=92m planning my first trip to Sun and Fun and have a question for = you SnF veterans. > =20 > I=92m starting from the Pacfic Northwest so plan on taking a day and a = half to get there rather than arriving after dark. The event starts on = Tuesday, April 13th.
