Hey Jeff,

Careful with the blanket statement about the internal magnetometer.  The 
newer versions do not have that (it was unreliable in some 
installations), and instead do their best to simply hold the current 
heading if guidance from the GPS fails.

In my case the magnetometer does work ok, so I declined the "upgrade."  
But proximity to other equipment can make it unreliable.
