I've got a lot of interference on the front left cowl.  I've sprayed white primer on the inside and can now see the interference points:

#6 EGT probe (I can move it or get a shorter probe)
Baffling above prop governor (would require removing 1/2 inch of metal)
1/4 inch or more at baffling above #6 cylinder (would require removing about 1/2 inch from the front 3 inches of baffling)
#6 rocker cover bottom (no solution)

I've already shimmed the front left mount once (1/16 inch) and replaced with new mounts.  I'm wondering if it makes sense to add a shim to the left firewall mounts to provide a small clearance in the #6 area.  I'm guessing a 1/16 inch spacer would provide about 1/8 inch at the engine front.   And, how would you measure the mount relative to the airframe to see whether it is true or not?

Thanks for comments.
