I have a question about the L360 wing. The plans stipulate that there
should be a 3/32” gap between the outer wing panel skin and the stub wing skin.
I have noticed at least one L360 with no gap at all.
My question is, what is the purpose of this gap? I presume it is
designed to ensure that wing skin loads are not transferred to the stub wing
when the wings are flexing. So what is the danger, if there is any, in not
having the gap?
