Attached are photos of a low tech test of 3 landing lights. The pictures pretty well capture what my eyes perceived.

 

The HID put out a very large volume of very white light. Clearly the standout from light output.

 

The LED was a surprise in the intensity of light. Also a very white light, on only 20 watts with all the benefits of LEDs and an internal wig-wag feature.

 

The Halogen put out a good amount of light, but a more yellow color and moderately less (to my eyes) than the LED

 

 

-Duckworks MR-16 Replacement High Intensity Discharge (HID) 'Xenon' Light

 

-Aeroleds MicroSun (20watt) LED

 

 

-The Ong 75watt halogens (14degree beam?)
