Our passenger side flap skin peeled back nearest the wing tip. <<<< 1) LNC2 flaps are very long with the rigid deployment pushrod is very close to the inboard edge. The flap is subjected to tremendous twisting force when deployed (especially at higher speeds or full deployment). It is important to check the integrity of the flap skin/spar intersection and repair if there is any indication of delamination. It could be a bit uncomfortable if one flap breaks. 2) Any chance of the flap hanging up on the wing during retraction makes go-arounds very dicey -- especially if it is only on one side. Perhaps you could adjust the down stop on the flap motor to reduce the fully deployed angle so that the air cannot possibly lift the curled flap leading edge above the wing skin. The leading edge flex could be controlled by installing "keepers" every foot or so. These are 1/4 inch prepreg pieces glassed between the curl and the flap forward spar. This is the standard fix to ensure that, if there is a gap, the skin cannot be distorted upwards and jam against the wing skin. If you aren't happy with the curl or curve of the flap leading edge, some adjustment can be made with use of a heat gun after clamping in the desired curve (flap off the airplane of course). You may want to consult a local composite builder for guidance.
